Thank you for doing business with Squirrel River Books ,,(Squirrelriverbooks.com).  The following legal notices are considered to be part of the understanding between you and Squirrel River Books.

Terms and Conditions of Book Purchases

            If you request a quote from us, we will endeavor to give you our most current price by return email.  However, all quotes are subject to revision without notice and the only price at which we offer to purchase your books will be the price we use in calculating the check we send you.  If you disagree with that final price, simply return our check and keep your books.

            If you agree with our final purchase offer as represented by our check, simply ship us your books and deposit the check.  Deposit of the check confirms your acceptance of our offer and of these terms and conditions.

            In calculating the price we are willing to pay, we rely on your representations as to the identity and condition of the books.  If what you ship us does not conform to your representations, we reserve the right to undo the contract, stop payment on our check, and return your books to you.  Ordinarily we will attempt to reach you by phone or email first to attempt to resolve the matter.

            We are also relying, in sending our check to you to purchase your books, on your representations that you are of full legal age and have full title to the books, free and clear of any claims by other persons.

            Along with our check we will send you a prepaid shipping label that includes insurance on the books.   We count on you to retain a receipt from the shipper (UPS) so that we can recover on the insurance in the event of loss or damage.

            The contract between us will be governed by the domestic laws of Massachusetts as if it were entered into and wholly performed within Massachusetts .  By contracting with us you agree, to the extent permitted by law, that any action to enforce our contract may be brought in Massachusetts .

Privacy

            We will use the personal information you provide us – your name, address, etc. – only for the conduct of our own business.  We do not rent customer lists to third parties.  Nor will we disclose to third parties what books you sell us, except that we may disclose aggregate data from which your personal identifying information has been removed.

            Any links we provide to the websites of other persons or companies are solely for convenience and do not imply any affiliation between us and the owner of any such site.  Furthermore, we do not review or approve and are not responsible for the content, conduct, or functioning of any such other site.  If you choose to visit another site through any link from our site, the privacy of your personal information and all other issues pertaining to that site will be governed by the policies of the owner of that site, not by our policies.
